A native of the Western New York region, I graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1997 and have spent the last eighteen plus years working in the field of graphic design.  I began my career working in a photo lab as a digital graphic artist before moving on to my true passion, package design. I spent almost four years with Climax Manufacturing as the Senior Graphic Artist, working hand in hand with big name corporations like Gap, Coach, Bloomingdales, Macy's and Walt Disney. While with Climax Manufacturing, I was honored with eleven awards for excellence in package design by the National Paperboard Society.  In 2004, the time was right to leave Climax to begin a new adventure with Car-Freshner Corporation, makers of the Little Tree Air Fresheners. As an auto enthusist, I was thrilled to be able to combine my love of design with my passion for the automotive industry. As their Senior Designer, I offered the department new and innovative ways to market their products. My designs have been sold all over the world. I am especially proud of an ad that appeared in Maxim Magazine in 2009.  I have always prided myself in my software and design skills. While at Car-Freshner, I devoted much time to mentoring other designers. This is a practice I carried through into my next position.  In the Spring of 2012, I left chilly Northern New York to move to the Capital District. As the Director of Design and Layout for Lingualinx Language Solutions, I was responsible for all print design that flowed in and out of my department. I rallied my team to complete their projects with quick turn arounds and even tighter deadlines, in dozens of languages.  A new venture was brought before me in 2014 in the way of working as the Art Director at Graphitek in the small town of Hoosick Falls, New York.  Even though the location was off the beaten path, the work and clients were far from “small town” fare. I supported a vast array of work in the digital printing, sign-fabrication and vinyl wrap industry across all of North America. Then, as some may have put it, a "once in a lifetime opportunity" was brought in front of me that I had to leap at. I took the position with the Schenectady County Public Library system as their Design & Communications Director. With this new challenge, I have begun to bring the Library’s branding and marketing to a new level which has started to get SCPL noticed in the region for the new look I have implemented with the help of the tremendous staff there. When not working, I enjoy devoting my time and talent to various local and national charities, including Autism Speaks, the March of Dimes, the Alzheimer's Association, the Victims Assistance Center of Jefferson County, Inc., the United Way of Northern New York and the Jefferson County Child Advocacy Center.  In my leisure time, I enjoy letting the Buffalo Sabres continuously break my heart, while geeking out to all things Automobile and Apple related.  I reside in Niskayuna, New York with my wife, six-year old son and two lazy cats.
